Good luck and give them a home. All of the s1s rode on distinctive blunt trucks, named for their designer, an Alcoa employee. Less than 10 of the locomotives were phase i, vast majority ii, having square roof-fan enclosures and protruding side louvers.

They are sealed from the factory. I did open three random locomotives and put them on my test track. All of the locos come complete with original warranty card, removal instructions and operating. I took the pictures without removing locomotives from box so please excuse glare plastic window.

They all ran smooth as silk.

The s1 was first of a veer successful line s-series diesel switchers manufactured by American locomotive works. I have taken a close up of the body which should show you that all parts are present including horns and rails.

Phase 1 model's had round roof-fan enclosures and flush side louvers. This nimble switcher could negotiate fifty foot radius curves on its compact 30' 6 wheelbase. I am selling my entire collection over the next several months. I am listing several s1 locomotives.
