Details:

It has been stored in the box in a controlled environment ever since, and has not been displayed nor operated. It ran great when I tested it 10 years ago and I expect that it still does. The model can be operated in either dc or dcc modes and has full sound. It comes with a remote controller which I have used in dc mode with other Athearn model's, and it works quite well.

The box, foam and mounting devices for the locomotive and tender are in excellent shape with only the box lid showing some smearing from handling. It is the first production run of the Athearn Genesis big boy series. This is a very nicely equipped, well finished model looking for an operating home with large radius curves. I had planned to operate it on a neighborhood layout, but the owner moved and I have found no alternate.

This model has a lot of operating and appearance features. The decoder was produced by Marc. I purchased this big boy, produced and imported by Athearn, when it was new in I had removed the model from the box once for programming and test running on a treadmill, and then replaced it in the box when I lost the place to run it.
