The locomotive is in excellent condition, as shown in the photos. Nice copy of a vintage brass locomotive. I was able to verify, however, that the engine functions fine by hooking up jumpers to the tender pickup and the locomotive chassis. Only thing that I can see on it is that it appears that a small brass nut is missing from the connection between the drabber and the tender, and the nut would be needed to maintain electrical isolation between the pickup in the tender and the pickup in the locomotive.
It is new, in the factory box, never been run, but it has been opened for inspection. Since it has not been run or lubricated in probably 50 years, it does need lubrication and run-in to function smoothly. Overall, a nice vintage diminutive brass locomotive. It is a Ken Kidder ho scale porter mogul, 1880 era model.
