There were 233 original Ursa heavy 2-8-2s built plus another 957 copies, covering 23 railroads. Paragon2 locomotives offer dual mode dc and dcc operation with superb back emf motor control in dcc, record able for automated playback, the same detail level as original paragon series, familiar sturdy maroon box.
With copies, over 50 railroads used the Ursa light 2-8-2's. When moving in reverse. Railroad specific variations are not model ed on these locomotives. Broadway limited Imports is proud to introduce paragon 2: the new benchmark for premium ho sound-equipped locomotives.
The Ursa heavy mikados used pretty much same running gear as light mik's, but boilers were 10 inches larger in diameter and they had cylinders well. Tr active effort was about 10 higher for the heavy 2-8-2's. When moving forward from a stopped position, toots twice.
