For CDC layouts I would replace the circuit board with a decoder and again, everything will work as it should. For dc layouts this really isn't a problem. I've never seen that.
This dc engine starts moving at speed step 2 with a cicatrix throttle. The one problem here is that headlight will not light when attached to contacts. The engines circuit board does have a standard NRA 8 pin plug but with problem I cannot guarantee headlight will work.
Br because of its condition I would keep this engine but already a am committed to that. So this locomotive is very mechanically sound.
On a dc track, engines don't typically start until around speed step 30 or even 40 from what i've seen. I don't have a plug gable decoder so could not test that. Whoever buys this engine will not be disappointed.
With the USPS changes to postal rates I will attempt get best rate can lower your costs if possible. Just connect the headlight to track power contacts and everything works as it should. I replaced the headlight with a 14v bulb because original was burned out.
I have multiple items for sale and combine shipping when possible it isn't always if of my are purchased.
